ACTSI Investigator Dr. Carlos del Rio in the News

Carlos del Rio, MD, ACTSI investigator, Hubert Professor and chair of the Hubert Department of Global Health, Emory’s Rollins School of Public Health, co-director, Emory Center for AIDS Research (CFAR), and program director, Emory AIDS International Training and Research Program

Dr. del Rio consulted with the Mexican Ministry of Health on Ebola response, was named Chair of the NIH/NIAID AIDS Research Review Committee (AIDSRRC) study section, and received Emory's Thomas Jefferson Award at 2014 commencement for service to the university and the greater community. In 2013, he was elected to the Institute of Medicine, one of the highest distinctions in health and medicine and recognizes individuals who have demonstrated outstanding professional achievement and commitment to service.
